Getting to the Island
There is no airport on the island, so you must travel by boat. Most tourists arrive from the large neighbouring island of Phuket. You can fly into Phuket and get a boat across to Phi Phi. Although there are day trip options, it is recommended you stay for at least a couple of days to fully enjoy your experience. One great thing about the island is the fact there are no roads, eliminating all the pollution you get from vehicles.
There are lots of activities on the island and plenty of places to explore on foot or with a bicycle. The food is outstanding, and the locals are more than happy to converse with tourists and teach them about the history of the island.
